Common Questions
Partner Questions
Who do you partner with?
Total Packout Solutions partners with public adjusters, independent adjusters, restoration contractors, mitigation companies, mold remediation companies, fire and smoke damage specialists, water damage restoration teams, general contractors, construction companies, flooring companies and flooring contractors, carpet cleaning companies, plumbers and leak detection teams, electricians, roofing contractors, art restoration and fine art conservators, property managers, facility managers, building owners, HOA boards, apartment operators, attorneys and law firms handling property loss and fire claims, real estate professionals, and specialty contents vendors across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.
Do you work with public adjusters and independent adjusters?
Yes. We coordinate professionally with public adjusters, independent adjusters, and carrier desk adjusters. We handle the contents side of the loss — packout, photo inventory, item-level condition reports, climate-controlled storage, cleaning coordination, and pack-back — so the adjuster can focus on the claim itself.
Do you work with emergency mitigation companies?
Yes — emergency mitigation companies are one of our most important partner categories. We work alongside emergency mitigation crews (water extraction, drying, board-up, tarp, smoke and soot stabilization) the moment they arrive on a loss. As the mitigation team stabilizes the structure, we handle the contents side — emergency packout, photo inventory, condition reports, and climate-controlled storage — so their drying and demo work isn't slowed down by furniture, electronics, or personal property in the way. We're set up to integrate with national and regional mitigation brands as well as independent local mitigation companies across Dallas–Fort Worth, including teams like CERP-style emergency response contractors, Servpro, ServiceMaster Restore, BluSky, Paul Davis, Cotton GDS, Rainbow Restoration, PuroClean, and similar mitigation operators.
Do you work with restoration contractors?
Yes. We're a contents-focused partner that integrates cleanly into a restoration contractor's existing workflow. We get your client's belongings out of the work zone quickly so demo, drying, and rebuild can move forward without delays or contents-related liability.
Do you work with mold remediation companies?
Yes. Mold remediation teams need contents removed from contaminated areas before containment and treatment. We coordinate with the remediator, document affected items carefully, and store or route contents to specialty cleaning so remediation can proceed safely and on schedule.
Do you work with fire and smoke damage specialists on fire claims?
Yes. Fire claims involve sensitive contents handling — soot, smoke odor, heat-affected items, and salvageable vs. non-salvageable determinations. We document everything, pack out carefully, and coordinate with specialty cleaners and ozone or hydroxyl treatment vendors as needed.
Do you work with water damage restoration teams?
Yes. When water hits a property, contents have to come out fast so drying equipment can do its job. We respond quickly, prioritize at-risk items, and keep clean documentation for the carrier.
Do you work with plumbers and plumbing companies?
Yes. Plumbers and plumbing companies are often first on scene for water losses — supply line breaks, slab leaks, sewer backups, water heater failures, burst pipes, and frozen pipe damage. Once the leak is stopped, the homeowner usually still has soaked furniture, cabinets full of belongings, ruined flooring under everything, and contents blocking access to the affected area. We handle the contents side immediately: emergency packout, moving items out of the wet zone, photo-documenting condition for the insurance claim, and storing everything in our climate-controlled facility while drying and repairs happen. That lets the plumbing company finish their scope, hand the job off cleanly, and look great to the customer — without getting pulled into moving furniture or dealing with damaged belongings.
Do you work with leak detection companies?
Yes. Leak detection companies frequently identify hidden water damage that requires immediate contents removal so the source can be accessed and the area dried. We mobilize quickly after the leak is located, pack out the affected rooms, document everything for the carrier, and store contents off-site so remediation, plumbing repair, and reconstruction can proceed without delay.
Do you work with general contractors (GCs)?
Yes. General contractors run the rebuild — and a GC can't efficiently demo, frame, drywall, paint, or install finishes when the property is still full of the homeowner's belongings. We pack out the entire affected area (or the entire home for large losses), label and inventory everything, store it in our climate-controlled facility, and pack it back in when the GC is finished. Your jobsite stays clean, your timeline stays on track, you avoid liability for damaged contents, and the homeowner sees one organized process instead of chaos. We coordinate directly with your project manager so scheduling, access, and pack-back line up with your build schedule.
Do you work with construction companies on insurance and renovation projects?
Yes. Construction companies handling insurance rebuilds, large-loss reconstruction, or major renovations need a clear, empty workspace. We provide full residential and commercial packout, on-site or off-site storage (climate-controlled, gated, monitored), and coordinated pack-back at completion. For commercial construction projects we can scale crews, work after-hours to minimize business disruption, and document everything for ownership and insurance.
Why would a plumber, GC, or construction company need a packout partner?
Three reasons: speed, liability, and reputation. Speed — your crew can't work around furniture and personal belongings, so getting contents out of the way lets your scope move faster. Liability — if your team moves a homeowner's antique, electronics, or fine art and something gets damaged, that becomes your problem. Bringing in a documented, insured contents partner removes that risk entirely. Reputation — homeowners remember the contractor who made the whole experience organized. Referring us means your customer gets professional contents handling, photo documentation, and a clean pack-back, and they associate that quality with you.
How fast can you mobilize for a plumber, GC, or mitigation crew?
Same-day response across Dallas–Fort Worth in most cases. Call 214-718-1685, give us the address, the type of loss, and the rooms affected. We'll get a crew on the way and coordinate directly with whoever is on site.
Do you work with flooring companies, flooring contractors, and carpet cleaners?
Yes. Flooring installers, flooring contractors, and carpet cleaning teams need furniture and contents out of the way to do quality work. We coordinate scheduling, protect items during transport, and store everything off-site so your crew has clean, unobstructed access.
Do you work with art restoration companies?
Yes. For fine art, antiques, and high-value collectibles, we coordinate with art restoration specialists and fine art conservators. We handle, crate, and transport sensitive pieces with the care they require and document condition every step of the way.
Do you work with attorneys and law firms on fire claims and property loss matters?
Yes. We work with attorneys and law firms whose clients are dealing with fire, water, smoke, mold, or storm losses and need professional, well-documented contents handling. Our photo inventory, item-level condition reports, and Xactimate-based documentation are designed to hold up under review.
Do you work with property managers, facility managers, and building owners?
Yes. We regularly support property managers, facility managers, building owners, HOA boards, and apartment operators across DFW. We coordinate building access, minimize disruption to neighboring units and tenants, and keep records organized for ownership and insurance review.
Do you handle homeowner referrals?
Yes. If you're a neighbor, friend, real estate agent, or trade professional referring a homeowner, we'll respond quickly, walk the property, explain the process in plain English, and keep you informed if you'd like to stay in the loop.
Can you handle both residential and commercial losses?
Yes. Our crews handle single-family residential, luxury estates, multi-unit residential, HOAs, apartment complexes, offices, retail, churches, schools, and commercial losses — including large-loss scenarios that require multi-crew coordination.
What areas of Dallas–Fort Worth do you serve?
We serve the entire DFW metroplex, including Dallas, Highland Park, University Park, Preston Hollow, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Prosper, Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving, Las Colinas, Southlake, Grapevine, Keller, Flower Mound, Lewisville, Carrollton, Richardson, Garland, Mesquite, Rockwall, and surrounding cities.
What happens after I send a referral?
We respond quickly — typically the same day. We introduce ourselves to your client, walk the loss, scope the contents work, and keep you informed throughout. You'll always know what's happening and when.
Do you protect the relationship I have with my client?
Yes. Your client stays your client. We focus strictly on excellent contents work and supporting the larger project. We don't pursue scope outside our role and we communicate in a way that reinforces — not replaces — your relationship.
How do you document the contents for insurance?
Every project gets a photo inventory, item-level condition reports, and Xactimate-based documentation prepared for adjuster review. The goal is clean, organized records that move the contents portion of the claim forward without back-and-forth.
How is the contents portion billed?
Contents work is billed direct-to-carrier using Xactimate when the loss is covered. We do not collect deductibles or ask homeowners for out-of-pocket payment on covered claims.
Do you have your own storage facility?
Yes. We use our own gated, climate-controlled storage so your client's belongings stay secure, organized, and ready for cleaning, treatment, or pack-back when the property is restored.
